I am so honored to have received a Leibster Blog Award from my friend and traveling buddy, Barbara Rankin.. 

In Barbara's words:...

"What is the Liebster Award?

Well. . .the origins of the Liebster Blog award are somewhat unclear and this seems to be blog folklore but it goes like this: 
"Some time (in the recent past), somewhere (rumor has it that it might be Germany), someone (I guessing he/she was named Liebster) decided to do something nice for a whole lot of bloggers and started the Liebster Blog Award. It’s an award you receive, but it is also an award that you give."
Liebster is a German word, so translated from a few sources it means favorite, sweetheart, beloved, darling.

If you receive a Liebster Blog Award you are asked to choose 3-5 other bloggers and send them one as well. It is an award meant to highlight smaller blogs - less than 200 followers. Let them know that we care and are reading. The idea is that the blogger receiving the award links back to the blogger who awarded him/her, and then chooses 3-5 people to send the award to. There is no obligation to continue this award. It is a lovely way to share the love and also a way of introducing other bloggers to the blogs you enjoy."

I have been looking at a big ball of rusty wire in my studio for more than a year, trying to come up with something really cool to create with it. I filched the wire from my hubby’s workshop. He didn’t remember buying it, so that meant it was up for grabs as far as I was concerned. The wire easily bent to form the flowers. Although the metal was rusty, it was still very strong, perfect for this little bit of spring art. Finally, I had inspiration. A Little Wickedness

It's time for another round of the Sizzix Blog Hop with a little twist. There will be a different die each Thursday for several weeks, each by one of three different designers, and there will be more than 60 designs each week using the same die, so you'll get a huge variety of possibilities. Just click on the Sizzix button on my blog and you'll be on your way! Since I went to see Wicked Halloween night, you know what mode I have been in all week. I had actually started my design, which would have been just a simple little house using patterned papers and some lace to create a charming cottage. Well, THAT didn't happen. I started ripping the thing apart bright and early Monday morning and this is what I came up with: a perfectly wicked little house, deserving of Elphaba, who you can see peeping out the upper window. Time for a new blog hop! This is the first of my projects made with the new soon-to-be-released Sizzix ScoreBoard dies, designed by Eileen Hull. I'll be posting projects cut from mat board every other Wednesday for the next few weeks, and here's a bonus: Vote for your favorite project (Trust me: All are amazing!) on Eileen's blog and leave a comment on any participating designer's blog and you could be a winner!
